THE RED FROG BEACH MYSTERY TRILOGY
I am over the strawberry moon to announce that The Poison Garden (Those Baby Blues) will be published in August of this year. The last book of The Red Frog Beach Trilogy will be the crescendo for Lexie and our favorite friends in Bocas del Toro.
DROWNING LESSONS – BOOK #1 (2019)
You are cordially invited to a destination wedding to die for… Forty guests descend upon an unsuspecting Caribbean Island for a five-day luxury jaunt. When the groom’s best man is murdered during a snorkelling trip, Lexie Milano must step up to the plate and solve the murder. The maid of honor has four nights until the wedding, a bridezilla to cater to, and a perfect crime to solve. You’ll find yourself laughing until the very end of Drowning Lessons.
THE WIPEOUT AFFAIR – BOOK #2 (2019)
Lexie Milano has left her heart in the Caribbean and moved permanently to the remote island six months after solving not one but two murders. When the body of a beautiful local is found dead at an isolated surf camp, the owner calls on Lexie to help clear his name in this hilarious whodunit. Between old friends, new life and loves, and the added potential of shark attacks, The Wipeout Affair will leave you laughing and guessing until the very end.
THE POISON GARDEN (BABY I’M BLUE) – BOOK #3 (2026)
So much for a peaceful life in the tropics for New York transplant, Lexie Milano. Remote Bocas del Toro has pulled out all stops for Valentine’s Day, a romantic treat for everyone but recently single Lexie. Throw in the murder of her toxicologist co-worker, and you’ve got a holiday week to remember. All roads lead to the victim’s poison garden, just one of the secrets uncovered in this comedic mystery. Surfing scientists, clandestine affairs, and decades-old grudges conceal what just might be the perfect crime. But most importantly, does she find love in the end? The Poison Garden promises wild hijinks for the final instalment of The Red Frog Beach Trilogy.
THE SILENCER – Edinburgh Festival 2012, Festival of the Offensive (2014)
Be careful who you fall in love with. Be more careful who falls in love with you. A nameless protagonist takes you on a journey through the West Village of hopeless romance, midlife crisis and paranoid psychosis, bringing a whole new twist to the boy-meets-girl, boy-descends-into-madness kind of tale. The narrator has fallen through the cracks, living among the propaganda of the manosphere. Meeting the woman of his dreams, a one-night stand turns to obsession, transforming into psychosis. Lost in a world of dating apps, misogynistic social media and technology that is beyond him, he will do anything to find the woman he lost. The Silencer explores themes of stalking, alienation, and the need we all have to connect. But at what cost?
NEPENTHE – Women in War Festival (2016)
In Nepenthe, it is 1961 in Hollywood. With the release of Exodus, the filming of The Diary of Anne Frank, and the TV coverage of the Eichmann trials, Americans are talking about the Holocaust for the first time. German survivor Esthie, forced into prostitution in Auschwitz when she was 17 years old, has swallowed the darkest of secrets. She is now the beautiful 31-year-old wife of a movie studio head with all the power of Hollywood. Upon discovery that a film based on the Block 24 brothel is being made, she goes on a mission to stop it. For the first and only time, Esthie tells the story of her unspeakable experiences behind the walls. The truth must be told, at least once.
SO PINCH ME QUICK (2027)
A dark comedy about soul mates, a wild road trip through grief, a love letter to The Cure. So Pinch Me Quick chronicles the escapades and ordeals of Trudy Allard: guitar-smashing depressive, ex-pat socialite, failed historian, and inconceivably a grieving widow at the age of 46. After thirty years with Doyle, the party is over. Hiding from family and friends in East London, Trudy can’t move on to her next great adventure until she can say goodbye to her tumultuous past. On the first anniversary of her husband’s death, she sifts through three decades of chaos to figure out if her marriage was a fairy-tale dream or a nightmare come true.
